Yet another promising car manufacturer that succumbed to the Depression, Hupmobile of Detroit was founded in 1909, and held out to the bitter end in 1941. The 1933 Hupmobile owes much of its styling to designer Raymond Loewy, today best remembered for the striking Studebaker Avanti.
